| Thoughts of spring conjure up visions of daffodils and bunnies. The stand-up bunny and basket have many uses. Stitches include Scotch and mosaic combination, continental, boxed pavilion, Victorian step, Byzantine, couching, criss-cross Hungarian, cross stitch, upright cross, padded satin, stem, fern, encroaching, upright, slanted and diagonal Gobelin, medieval mat, needleweaving, buttonhole, colonial knots, and binding. Stumpwork daffodils are created using long and short and buttonhole stitches. Threads include silks, Kreinik braids, Ribbon Floss, Petite Velvet, cotton floss, as well as several others. |
