A Teddy Bear for All Seasons

| Description: | One teddy bear and one dozen vests to fit it, individually
designed and stitched by Chapter members. In the summer of 2003, members of the Great Lakes Stitchers purchased a 18"
teddy bear. Each member selected a month of the year, made and then stitched a vest with a theme for that month. The
project began in April, 2003 and was completed in November, 2003. A live auction item for "Women Celebrating Life," an organization committed to meeting the needs of women in suburban Detroit, Michigan, who have experienced the challenges of breast cancer. Funds raised are for women recovering from or are being treated for cancer. |
