Stitch of the Month
December 1999: Barbara's Patchwork Stitched Samples
Here are several versions of Barbara's Patchwork, stitched in a variety of colors. Take your inspiration from one of these color schemes or do what we did -- use this as a good opportunity to stitch with materials already in your stash!
Be creative! Be adventuresome! Add a glitter of metallic braid, or a shimmer of blending filament. A small project like this is the perfect place to try out that showy new fiber you just had to have, but had no place to use.
Note that several stitchers substituted different threads for those specified in the directions.

Lisa finished her piece into a pillow that she is giving to her grandmother. |
